The Islands Peak Race,
starts in Oban at the beginning of May each year. This is a
great spectacle with runners leaving the Oban Sailing Club for a
10k run at the end of which they jostle to get back onto their
yachts to start the first sailing leg up to Salen on Mull where
the runners then run up Ben More.
